WOMEN IN CABLE TELECOMMUNICATIONS ROCKY MOUNTAIN CHAPTER CALLS
FOR NOMINATIONS FOR ANNUAL WALK OF FAME GALA AWARDS

Denver, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Chapter of WICT (WICT RM) is winding up the nomination process to honor the industry’s most impressive and influential leaders. The 2007 WICT RM Walk of Fame Gala will honor industry leaders in five categories: Woman of the Year; Woman in Technology; Partner of the Industry; Mentor of the Year; and Woman to Watch. Winners of these prestigious awards will be honored at the annual gala at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center on Thursday, May 2, 2007. All nominations are due by February 13, 2007.

WICT RM’s Walk of Fame Gala honors leaders whose contributions go far beyond serving the cable telecommunications industry. These outstanding individuals represent the organization’s mission to advancing women’s careers at all levels through professional development and leadership opportunities. WICT RM is calling for nominations for leaders and risk takers who exhibit: knowing what they stand for and where they are going; communicating with passion and poise; listening actively; connecting well; serving as a catalyst for positive changes; and having confidence in their convictions and bringing others along. Call for nomination information has been e-mailed to all WICT RM members and is also accessible on the chapter’s website at www.wictrm.org.

The Woman of the Year award recognizes the accomplishments of a woman who has significantly impacted the cable telecommunications industry. She is a visionary leader who is highly regarded by her employees, clients and peers for her career achievements, strong interpersonal skills and work-life balance. The award recipient will be inducted into the WICT RM Walk of Fame, and is the highest honor bestowed at the WICT Gala.

The Woman to Watch award honors an outstanding accomplished woman who is versed in both her job and working knowledge of the cable industry and exhibits leadership qualities. This individual has a significant impact on her organization’s success and is an up-and-comer in the industry.

The Mentor of the Year award showcases an individual who has consistently mentored, supported and inspired others to achieve their best. He/she is an outstanding leader who has demonstrated a commitment to ongoing mentoring, coaching and development of women leaders.

The Partner of the Year award recognizes a man or woman who serves the cable industry and enables women to achieve their full potential. This individual demonstrates strong leadership skills and business savvy and leads by example. The Partner of the Year award is new in 2007, and nominees should be non-operators and non-programmers.

The Woman in Technology award honors a woman in a technical position who has contributed significantly to her organization as well as the cable telecommunications industry. In addition to her technical expertise, she is a valued team leader who is committed to supporting and motivating others.
