WICT Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute
The WICT Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute (RMLI) develops women leaders in the telecommunications industry, helping participants optimize their individual performance and organizational impact, while achieving new levels of confidence and success. Since its founding in 2006, more than 100 senior-level women executives have participated in the RMLI program. The Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute teaches high-performing women how to:
- Effectively communicate in diverse working environments and manage multi-generational teams.
- Develop the personal leadership abilities necessary to take action in their organizations.
- Become a force for personal and organizational change.
- Cultivate emotional intelligence.
- Transform themselves from good managers to extraordinary leaders.
Program Benefits
RMLI participants have the opportunity to exchange ideas with a group of experienced, like-minded women who face similar challenges in their professional lives. Through the program, many participants develop lasting relationships, allowing them to enhance their network.
Program Overview
WICT Rocky Mountain and the AthenA Group have collaborated to create an interactive learning program focused on relevant topics that support professional development. The AthenA Group is a women-owned consulting firm based in Denver that specializes in developing leaders and training for workforce excellence. Direct instruction, individual assignments, coaching and group discussions make the Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute a comprehensive development experience. Program details:
- One in-person class per month from June to October
- Two phone coaching sessions throughout the program
- Minimal homework to reinforce program objectives
Nomination and Selection Process
The RMLI is open to approximately 24 director-level women and above. You can nominate someone or you can apply for the program yourself. Apply now.
Program Schedule
Your application must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from a WICT board member or from a senior executive in the industry. We will announce RMLI participants for the 2011 class on the website by June, 2011.

WICT Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute VI
Please join us in congratulating the twenty-two 2011 RMLI VI program attendees. This is one of our signature leadership development programs. RMLI is a five-month long program developed in coordination with the Athena Group for female managers and above, and features direct instruction, group discussions, individual coaching and peer mentoring – all focused on expanding leadership skills in relevant, on-the-job topics.
