“The context of WICT events allows for more than cursory introductions. Through its speakers with generous Q&A time, personal coaching, events and educational programs, you can delve into meaningful conversations and share learning experiences that worked well and flopped. From these real-life anecdotes, we can learn solid lessons to take into practice professionally in our workplaces and personally through our family relations and friendships. This balance of professional and personal focus in WICT’s leadership training strengthens its participants’ holistically and empowers them to demonstrate their new skills in both environments. I am especially grateful to my Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute classmates for their courageous stewardship and supportive contributions to this amazing community experience. “

“I finally joined WICT after being in the industry for 16 years, and since joining, I’ve found new energy for my career. I recommend WICT because it gives you access to an amazing group of like-minded women.  Being part of WICT made me realize I could be doing so much more.  I completed the WICT mentoring program, which was an inspirational experience.  I met some amazing women in our industry who are great mentors on how to be savvy, resilient, balanced, and empowered, and I also had the opportunity to work with mentees who reminded me of where I started. WICT offers something for women at every level of their careers.”

“I have been a member of WICT since 1999 and I have great respect for this organization that allows me to build and maintain lasting relationships through networking, mentoring and education. I gained my most valuable piece of career advice at a WICT presentation 10 years ago:  ‘You don’t get promoted for doing your job, you get promoted for all the things you do above and beyond your daily responsibilities.’ I apply this sage advice to my own career and have passed on this wisdom and other insights I’ve gained through WICT to many friends and colleagues.”
