Rocky Mountain WICT Manager’s Training Event

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of Women In Cable Telecommunications (WICT) is providing an unprecedented opportunity to the local WICT membership by offering a full day of management training on April 29 at the Cable Center.

We have identified an internationally recognized organization, CatchFire Café, who provides outstanding management and leadership training and WICT has agreed to underwrite the majority of the cost of a full day management curriculum. The curriculum for the day is valued at $750.00 per person and we are offering it to our membership for $100.00 per person. This is just one more way the local WICT chapter continues to provide members with incredible value. Click here for more information regarding the curriculum and details of the event. Please join us in making this a successful event.  Attached is the list of sponsorship opportunities and application.  Sponsorships applications are due by April 1, 2008.  If you have any questions or need further clarification regarding the sponsorships and this event, please contact us

“As a leader, you must first and foremost manage your own energy, and secondly, you must orchestrate the energies of the people around you.” -Peter Drucker

Overview of The Principles of CatchFire in Business and in Life
Maintaining top levels of energy. Staying focused under pressure. Tackling problems with enthusiasm and persistence. Living a healthy, balanced life. CatchFire: Igniting Energy and Performance informs the participants how to thrive in today’s demanding world. The program teaches participants how to understand the dominant thinking and communication styles, and shows them how to use this knowledge to create dedicated, organized, supportive, high-performance employees.  We’ll review some best practices for healthy lifestyles – including laughter, fitness and smart recovery.

Overview Positive Psychology
Renewing Energy and Positive Emotions.  Everyone agrees that a “positive attitude” is important for success in business – as well as in life. But very few people have gone deeper than the platitude “have a positive attitude.” Just what is a positive attitude? What is its role in work productivity? And just as importantly, how do you develop a positive attitude – and how do you reclaim it after a particularly bad day?   This program will show you the new research from Dr. Martin Seligman’s Positive Psychology and give you new activities to increase your levels of optimism and positive emotions.

Overview of High Performance Coaching
Helping people align their strengths for high performance. High-Performance Coaching teaches supervisors, managers, and executives how to incorporate coaching skills into their management style so they can explode into a new level of performance. Coaching is the art and science of managing and developing people. Impressive new research studies have demonstrated that a manager’s ability to coach his or her people has a profound effect on critical business measures such as customer service, employee retention, productivity, and profitability.

Overview - I Love Feedback
Conversations with candor and grace.  The Power of Feedback teaches you how to master the art of both giving and receiving feedback so you can improve your performance, relationships, and career growth. CatchFire Café’s exciting presentation on The Power of Feedback begins with a review of research studies that show exceptional companies have higher levels of feedback and debate than mediocre companies.

This material will be particularly effective for people early in their careers and we have some pertinent cases studies that point to the uniqueness of giving and receiving feedback in a multi-generational work environment.

30 Day Challenge
The CatchFire 30 Day Challenge will be provided for each manager and it will help each person stay on task while dealing with struggles in life and at work. We begin with the CatchFire Energy Quiz, a test that examines many different aspects that effect your energy levels – and in turn your performance.  Based on research in Positive Psychology this daily planner is not only a calendar, but a way for you to track your health habits, positive energy, acts of gratitude, blessings and laughter.  Research has shown that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. By sticking with this challenge for 30 days, you will create a positive new you.

The Mission of CatchFire Café is to help people build better lives with Positive Energy, Healthy Lifestyles and Laughter.

Health Care Provider
A prominent Health Care provider had a sophisticated yet straight-forward measurement for calculating the “morale” of its operations with hundreds of employees participating.  Morale encompassed numerous factors that were rated on a one to five basis.  This provided an ideal tool to measure the effects of CatchFire and the results were dramatic.

Top Consulting Firm
One of the top consulting firms in the world utilized CatchFire along with a health monitoring formula known as Fitness Age.  The calculations that comprise Fitness Age include many of the healthy lifestyle habits presented in CatchFire with the result being a comparison of your Actual Age to your Fitness Age.   Once again, the results before and after CatchFire were dramatic with over 1,000 consultants showing improved Fitness Ages – and those results are lasting.
