The WICT Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute
focuses on “Taking Leadership to a New Level:
Women as Multidimensional Leaders.”
Formerly known as the Executive Leadership
Program, The Rocky Mountain Leadership
Institute is designed to provide an executive
development opportunity for Rocky Mountain-
based, highly effective female directors and
above in the cable and telecommunications
industry. Introduced in 2006, the first two pilot sessions included more than 30
senior level women executives.
The 2008 Class (Class #3) will
include 24 participants.
Program Design
WICT Rocky Mountain and the AthenA
Group collaborated to create an interactive learning
program featuring relevant, on-the-job topics to support
professional development. Direct instruction, individual
assignments, coaching and group discussions make the
Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute a comprehensive
development experience.
The program consists of five full-day sessions spanning
five months. We're pleased to announce this year's curriculum:
May 30 - Leadership and the Case for Change
June 27 - Beyond Gender: Leveraging Gender
Differences for Workplace Results
Aug 01 - EQ: A Different Way of Being Smart
Sep 05 - Generations and Other “ISMS”
Oct 03 - Power, Politics and Risk; Putting It All
Together
In addition, the program includes:
• Three small group coaching sessions
• The Emotional Intelligence Assessment (Bar-On-EQI)
• Individual debrief of the EQI assessment
Financials
The cost per participant
is $1,800 plus incidental travel costs to one overnight
session.
Selection Process
This program is open to Director-level
women and above. You can nominate someone, or
nominate yourself. Each nomination must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from a WICT board
member or from a senior industry executive.
Key Dates:
• Nominations for Class #3 are due March 31, 2008.
• Session begins May 30, 2008.
