Lisa Lee is the CEO and co-founder of Broadband Insights, LLC. Ms. Lee has 19 years of experience in the communications industry. Her products have been featured in USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, ComputerWorld, Information Week, Communications Week, Network World, MultiChannel News, Electronic Media and the Broadcasting & Cable Magazine.
Ms. Lee worked with key cable industry customers, such as AT&T Broadband, Adelphia, CableLabs Charter, Comcast, Cox, Digeo, H.S.A., Liberty Media, TimeWarner Cable, Vulcan and Microsoft TV. For multiple cable operators, Ms. Lee led key initiatives that were integral to their business success, including End-to-End high-speed data and interactive TV programs, ISP development and installations, VOD installations, integrated testing efforts, customer care, network operations, content and product evaluation efforts. Ms. Lee also led the industry’s OpenCable initiatves. In that capacity, she led the industry’s efforts to design, develop, create standards and implement the next generation of digital set-top boxes and digital-ready televisions. She worked directly with senior executives from the cable operators, the National Cable Television Association, the National Association of Broadcasters, the Consumer Electronics Association, the Motion Picture Association, Retailers (such as Circuit City) and the Federal Communications Commission. Prior to that, she held various management positions in MCI, Sprint and Excel in their Network Engineering and Information Systems departments.
Ms. Lee is an award recipient from the International Society for Performance Improvement. She was also recognized as one of KPMG Consulting’s Top Performing 1st year Partners. In addition, Ms. Lee was the recipient of ComNet’s New Product Achievement Award. She has also been awarded the Women in Cable and Telecommunication’s Rising Star Award. Ms. Lee has spoken at numerous cable events, including the National Cable Show, Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers Conferences, CableLabs Conferences, the Western Cable Show and the National Association of Broadcasters Conference.
Ms. Lee is the 2003 Women in Cable and Telecommunications Rocky Mountain Division Treasurer and Sponsorship Director. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Human Resource Development from Webster University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Management and Accounting from Missouri Western State College. In addition, Ms. Lee has also earned a CPA license from the state of Missouri. |
